【摘要】:Thismethodisperformedtoevaluateifpaintballbarriernettingwillpreventanintactpaintballorshellfragmentsexceeding3by5mm(0.118by0.197in.)frompassingthroughthenetting.Thistestmethodprovidesaccurateresultsaboutthecurrenteffectivenessofthetestspecimenwhenfield-testedinanexistinginstallation.Laboratoryresultsareparticularlyusefulfortestingtherelativeeffectivenessofmultipletestspecimens.Theresultsstemmingfromtheuseofthistestmethodmaybeusedtoevaluatetheeffectivenessofpaintballbarriernettingrepresentedbythetestspecimenforuseindelineatingx201C;goggles-onx201D;areasfoundatpaintballplayingfields.Thebaseprocedureoutlinedbelowisapplicabletox201C;field-testing.x201D;Additionalrequirementsforx201C;laboratoryx201D;testingarenoted.1.1Thistestmethodisdesignedtoevaluatepaintballbarriernettingthatmaybeusedtodelineateplayingfields,chronographareas,targetranges,andother"goggle-on"areasofanactivepaintballsite.Anapparatusissuggestedtoevaluatepaintballbarriernettinginalaboratory.Onsitetestingdoesnotrequiresuchanapparatus.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard;theinch-poundunitsinparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
