【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoversrequirements,testmethods,andmethodsofmarkingforpolybutyleneplasticsystemcomponentsmadeinonestandarddimensionratioandintendedfor0.69MPa(100psi)waterserviceuptoandincluding82?C(180?F).Thesecomponentscomprisepipeandtubing,socket-fusionfittings,compressionfittings,mechanicalfittings,andplastic-to-metaltransitionfittings.Requirementsandtestmethodsareincludedforsustained,hydrostaticpressurestrength,thermocyclingresistance,jointstrength,anddimensionsandtolerancesforpipeandsocketfusionfittings.Thecomponentscoveredbythisspecificationareintendedforuseinhot-andcold-waterpotablewaterserviceanddistributionsystemsandsuchnon-potablewaterapplicationsasbuildingservicespiping,waterheatingandcoolingsystems,firesprinklerapplications,andothermiscellaneousapplicationsinvolvingthetransportofwater,ethyleneglycolsolutions,orotheraqueousliquidsshownnottoadverselyaffectPBperformance.Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotes,footnotes,andappendixeswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthespecification.ThevaluesinSIunitsarethestandard.Thevaluesstatedinparenthesesareforinformationonly.Note1-Suggestedhydrostaticdesignstressesandhydrostaticpressureratingsforpipe,tubing,andfittingsarelistedinAppendixX1.Design,assembly,andinstallationconsiderationsarediscussedin.Anoptionalperformancequalificationandanin-plantqualitycontrolprogramarerecommendedinAppendixX3.Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodportion,Section7,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
